The State of North Carolina has additional immunization requirements for students entering 7th and 12th grade.

Seventh graders will need a meningococcal and Tdap vaccine.

Twelfth graders will need a meningococcal booster vaccine.

The Franklin County Health Department will be hosting three after hours adolescent vaccination events prior to the deadline.  Additional information regarding these events can be found here or by contacting your school nurse.

You can also contact your student’s physician to schedule an appointment for these vaccinations prior to the start of the 2023-2024 school year.

Documentation of the student’s vaccination must be provided to the student’s school within 30 days of the start of the school year.
