Elementary All-County Chorus

“Music Changes Lives” was the theme of Franklin County Schools’ Elementary All-County Chorus concert, which showcased the talents of 135 students from all eight elementary schools in the district.

The event was presented to an enthusiastic audience on March 10th as part of Music in Our Schools Month. It was held at the Seby B. Jones Performing Arts Center on the campus of Louisburg College. Angela Mangum was the guest conductor and Byron Marshall was the accompanist on piano.

Students sang “The Star-Spangled Banner,” “Jambo Bwana,” “Kyrie Canon,” “Soldier’s Joy,” “Kids On Broadway—Songs that Stopped the Show,” and “This Little Light of Mine.”

The Middle School and High School All-County Chorus concert is at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 12 also at the Seby B. Jones Performing Arts Center in Louisburg.
