3-Hour Delay | Possible Closure - Thursday, February 5, 2026

Due to a Winter Weather Advisory issued for Franklin County, with mixed precipitation expected to impact roads, which are likely to become slick and hazardous, Franklin County Schools will operate on a 3-hour delayed schedule on Thursday, February 5, 2026, for all staff and students.

If conditions from the incoming winter weather event create extremely hazardous travel conditions that do not allow for a safe return to school, a closure will be announced tomorrow morning, no later than 6:00 a.m.

The 3-hour delay will give our inclement weather team time to closely monitor local conditions and take advantage of daylight, helping bus drivers better identify potentially hazardous roadways.
