On Monday evening, December 9th, the FCS BOE will vote on the proposed cell policy 4318. If adopted, the policy will become effective immediately on Tuesday, 12/10.
Here are a few key points in the draft policy:
Unauthorized Use: Cell phones may not be used in the restroom or classroom setting. Cell phones and other electronic devices that are on, used, displayed, or visible in violation of this policy will be confiscated.
Consequences for Unauthorized Use: Confiscated cell phones and other electronic devices will be secured in the school office and the owner’s parent/guardian will be contacted to come pick up these items.
Liability: Students are personally and solely responsible for the security of their wireless communication devices.
