Benita Arrington is a 1999 graduate of Fayetteville State University where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.  In 2010, she earned her National Boards for Professional Teachers and in 2015 earned a Masters in Executive Leadership/Administration from Gardner Webb University.  Her educational career has extended over 16 years with her reaching learners in 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th grades. She has served as District Teacher of the Year for Franklin County Schools for the 2015-2016 school year.  She is currently the Instructional Coach for FES where she works with K-5 teachers and lead professional development on various topics. She enjoys reading and spending time with her two boys.

Yvonne Townsley has been an ESL teacher for eight years. She feels very fortunate to be working with our ELL students and their families. Prior to teaching ESL she taught Spanish for ten years in Franklin County at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. She has lived in Franklin County for 22 years. She and her husband John love to travel. They both love the Spanish language and culture.  They have three children - Rett is living in Vietnam, Yvette lives in the Raleigh area, and Georgette is studying in Spain. They also have two dogs, a cat, 20 chickens, including two beautiful black roosters.

Social Worker

Whitney Alexander graduated from Appalachian State University with a Bachelor’s of Social Work in 2014 and a Master’s of Social Work in 2015. In addition to her degrees, Whitney holds a School Social Work License. She began her position as a school social worker in 2017 and serves five schools in Franklin County. As a school social worker, her role is to promote and enhance the overall academic mission by providing services that strengthen home, school, and community partnerships and address barriers to learning and achievement. Prior to working for Franklin County Schools, Whitney was a CPS Forensic Investigator for Catawba County Department of Social Services.
