Mrs. Katie Manson

Department Chair

Mrs. Manson is from Edgecombe County, but now calls Franklin County home. She began teaching at Franklinton High School in 2014. She spent several years in the Army Reserves and then graduated from North Carolina State University in 2005 with a B.A. in Art Applications and a minor in Gender studies. She has since then completed courses in Early Childhood Education and Special Education. Mrs Manson also has a diverse background in photography and Administration in Early Childhood education as well as Special Education support. Mrs. Manson is married with two beautiful children. She is not only a full time teacher, but a part time Children and Youth leader with her church. Additionally she co-sponsors the Fellowship of Christian Athletes club at FHS and is the EC department chair.

Corsale

Mrs Corsale was originally from Pennsylvania where she earned her Bachelor and Master's Degree from Edinboro University. She has taught in Franklin County for over 20 years; beginning at Edward Best Elementary School and ending up at Franklinton High School where she met her future husband who was teaching in the History Department.  She lives in Youngsville with her husband, Orlando, her daughter, Bella, and their Ginnea Pig, Lucky.

Mrs. Maggie Halford

Mrs. Halford has worked in Franklin County Schools for 20 years. She began working as a long term Substitute teacher teaching students with behavior issues. She since then has been trained in working with exceptional students, had behavior training, and training in Reach for Reading.She is originally from Memphis, TN. Since moving to Franklin County many moons ago she immediately felt like she was part of a family. She truely believes in our community, the students and Franklinton High School. She is a Co-Captain of Relay for Life Team at FHS, Student Booster Club Leader, and part of Unified Champions. She is also on the Board for the Franklin County Special Olympics.

Mr. Justice

Mr. Justice is new to Franklin county.  He previously taught in his hometown of Jacksonville, North Carolina.  Mr. Justice graduated from Campbell University in 2014. He went on to grad school at Elon University and graduated in 2017.  He has since completed courses from East Carolina University in Special Education.  Mr. Justice married his high school sweetheart in 2018.  In the short time that they have been here, the Justice's have come to adore the family atmosphere that comes with living in Franklin county.  In addition to teaching, Mr. Justice coaches Football, Women's Basketball, and Men's Tennis at FHS.

Mrs. April Shearer

April Shearer graduated from Wilmington University.  She has over 20 years experience in education; as a teacher or an instructional assistant.  Before making North Carolina her home she lived most of her life in Delaware .  This is her fifth year teaching in NC.  She is currently and Adaptive Curriculum Special Education Teacher at FHS.
