Third Grade ELA/S.S. Teacher - Room B-104

I have taught kindergarten and second grades and worked with the third grade as the reading specialist for intervention in Vance County for the past 5 years. This is my first year in Franklin County Schools and I am so happy and love this school. I love teaching third grade and working with our students. Third grade is an important grade as it opens the gateway to the upper grades with testing and challenging lessons.

Third Grade ELA/S.S. Teacher - Room B-106

Franklinton Elementary School has been a wonderful home for Ms. Jeanne Viva since 2009. Teaching has always been a passion for her. Prior to teaching, she worked with her own three kids' schools. As they were growing up, she was either supporting the science program or doing fundraisers for the school art program. She earned her BS degree from North Carolina State University and then her Master's degree from Capella University. This allowed her to become a teacher and then to begin her career. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, gardening and has a passion for running long distances and being outdoors in nature. Her greatest love though is her students. She feels very fortunate to be able to be a part of such a wonderful community doing what she loves.
