Mr. Stewart Brown

Mr. Stewart Brown graduated from North Carolina A&T State University with a bachelors degree in K-12 Physical Education in 1993. He began his teaching career at Edward Best Elementary School in January 1994 He is still current teaching at Edward Best Elementary School .He also taught Adult Learning at Vance Granville Community College from 1993 until 1999. He has been living in Louisburg all his life.

Ms. Tracy Minchew

Mrs. Tracy Minchew graduated from the University of Tennessee in 2010 with a Bachelors of Fine Arts with an emphasis in Art Education. She taught Art K-5 in Lakeland, FL before moving to Louisburg, NC in 2016, where she taught at Louisburg Elementary School for six years. In 2022, she transferred to Edward Best Elementary School where she continues to teach Art K-5. She loves teaching art to elementary students because creativity is so important in almost every aspect of life! In her free time, she enjoys spending time at home with her husband and two children, who also attend Franklin County Schools.

Ms. Nancy Stover

Ms. Nancy Wheeler Stover is a native of Franklin County where she attended Edward Best School (K-8) and graduated from Bunn High School. She was awarded the North Carolina Teaching Fellows scholarship and attended East Carolina University (Go Pirates!) graduating with a Bachelor of Music. Ms. Stover received her Kodály Certification from the Carolina Kodály Institute at Lenoir-Rhyne University in 2012 and is the past-president of the Kodály Educators of North Carolina. She has taught high school band, middle school band and chorus, as well as elementary school. She is the co-coordinator of the Franklin County All-County Chorus and has served on the NCMEA Elementary Board. Ms. Stover's husband is also a teacher and they have three children. Ms. Stover enjoys reading, sewing, crocheting, geocaching, and playing her flute with the Raleigh Concert Band.
