Nikeena Boyd-Kearsey was born and raised in Warren County, North Carolina. Upon graduating high school, she attended the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She received a Bachelor of Arts. Mrs. Boyd-Kearsey holds a Master's degree in Reading Instruction from Dominican University and a Master of Library Science from East Carolina University. She and her husband have four children and she enjoys taking day trips with her family.

My name is Janel Gederon and I am originally from the state of Maryland. I have lived in North Carolina for fifteen years. I have a B.A. in English and an M.S. in Criminal Justice. I have worked with children in connection to education and counseling for over 20 years. When I am not teaching in the classroom, I am teaching children how to cook healthy meals.
