Ms. Stephanie Mancinelli

Ms. Mancinelli was born and raised in the Kansas City area. Her family moved to Wake Forest in December of 2016.

She attended Southern Methodist University as a freshman. She has an Associate of Arts degree from Palm Beach Community College, a Bachelor of Science degree in journalism from the University of Florida, and a Master of Science degree in School Counseling from Central Missouri State University.

She has teaching certifications in elementary education, early childhood education, and psychological/intelligence testing and measurement. She has additional coursework in autism.

She has taught early childhood special education, kindergarten, first grade, third grade and has been an elementary school counselor. She has also been the manager for a community college preschool for children of students and teachers. Most recently, she was a middle school counselor for ten years. The 2017-2018 school year is her 20th year working for school districts as either a teacher or counselor.

Ms. Kennetha Hopkins

 

Mrs. Kennetha Hopkins graduated from East Tennessee State University in 2009 with a Bachelor's in Elementary Education. She began her teaching career in Franklin County in 2011. She has taught third, fifth, and sixth grade Math and Science, as well as sixth grade Social Studies. Mrs. Hopkins is currently teaching sixth grade Math. She is also the Assistant Volleyball coach this year. 

Mrs. Hopkins was the first recipient of the Franklin County Education Foundation Teacher of the Month in October 2016 and was nominated for Teacher of the Year in 2016 and 2017. She has written curriculum for Franklin County for Math and Science for both fifth and sixth grades and worked with NCDPI to help develop the North Carolina Math Check-ins. Mrs. Hopkins presented at the North Carolina Council of Teachers of Mathematics State Conference in October 2016 and was Slide Certified at the Ron Clark Academy in Atlanta, Georgia 2017. She was a member of the 2017-2018 EmpowerEd Team, is now part of EmpowerEd Elite, and is an active member of Delta Kappa Gamma International Society (Gamma Tau chapter).

Most of all, Mrs. Hopkins is proud of her students, who are her legacy.

Mr. Brandon Priebe

Mr. Priebe has a Bachelor of Arts in History from Kent State University and a Master of Liberal Arts from the State University of New York at Brockport.

He has a passion for teaching World History and considers himself a lifelong learner.

He truly enjoys teaching at CCMS and helping each one of his students reach their potential as global citizens and future leaders.

Ms. Edwards was raised in Chicago, Illinois and moved to Wake Forest in August 2014.
 
She graduated college from St. Cloud State University where she earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in K-6 elementary education. Later, she received her math degree as well.  She is certified to teach Elementary School, grades K-6, and Math, grades 6-8.  
 
During her career, she has taught 7th grade Math, 6th grade Math, and 6th grade Science.

Ms. Vonita McDaniel

Ms. McDaniel earned the Bachelor of Arts in English from Elizabeth City State University in 1999. In 2007, she received the Masters of Education from Cambridge College.

She is licensed in Virginia and North Carolina to teach 6-12th Grade ELA. She worked in Virginia for 8 years and has taught in North Carolina for 12 years. In 2009-2010, she was voted Phillips Middle School’s Teacher of the Year. She has also served in various capacities including Lead Teacher Administrator/Coordinator, ELA Teacher, Pre-GED Instructor, ABE (Adult Basic Education) Instructor, Mentor Teacher, and Grade Level Chair.

Ms. Kerri Peck

Ms. Peck graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education.  She taught first grade for 5 years in Pennsylvania and then relocated to St. Louis, MO.  In Missouri, she was Director of a preschool.
 
Upon moving to Wake Forest in 2008, she decided to go back to her first love of teaching and received a North Carolina teaching license.  She was a substitute in Wake County for two years before coming to Cedar Creek in 2017 where she teaches 6th grade Science and Social Studies.

Mr. Clifford Thomas

Mr. Thomas has a B.A. in Communications from North Carolina State University and Teaching Certification from North Carolina Central University (6-12). He also holds a North Carolina Real Estate Brokers License and a Real Estate Auctioneers License- from the Missouri Auction School.

He has been married for 33 years and is the father of four wonderful children and grandfather to one wonderful grandchild.

Mr. Robert Nicholas

Mr.  Nicholas earned his Bachelor of Science in Secondary  Social Studies Education from the University of Pikeville in 2008. In 2012, he earned his Master of Education in Administration and Supervision from Converse College.

He is licensed in Florida and North Carolina to teach 6th Grade ELA. He is also certified in Social Studies 6-8, Social Studies 9-12, AIG, Elementary Education K-6, Exceptional Student Education K-12, and School Administration Principal: All Levels. He has worked in South Carolina and Florida for the past ten years and has taught in North Carolina since December. He has been Social Studies Department Chair, Teacher of the month, and has served in many leadership capacities in his career. 

Mr. Nicholas is excited to be here at Cedar Creek Middle School this year!
