Mrs. Riggins has lived and taught in North Carolina since 2007.She has taught at Y.E.S. since 2011. She grew up in Ohio, and attended The University of Akron, where she received a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education. Outside of school she enjoys meeting up with friends, going out to eat, spending time with her family, and traveling. She is looking forward to a fun, productive school year!

Ms. Hanson has been teaching for 18 years. She graduated from SUNY Fredonia with a Bachelors in Education and received her Master of Education in Quality Schools from Graceland University. She is also Nationally Board Certified. Ms. Hanson started her teaching career in Vance county. She taught Kindergarten for 2 years, 1st grade for 9 years and 2nd grade for 8 years. She has now taught in Franklin County Schools for 4 years in 2nd grade at YES. Ms. Hanson looks forward to a great year full of learning and fun!

Mrs. Smith graduated from East Carolina University in 2021 with a degree in Elementary Education. She worked for Franklin County Schools for 6 years as an Instructional Assistant. This is her second year at Youngsville Elementary School and is so excited to work in Second Grade! In her spare time she loves spending time with her husband and boys Zachary and Ian. You can usually find her near the water with a good book in hand!

I am a graduate of East Carolina University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education K-6; and a Special Education add on to my licensure. I’ve been teaching for 21 years. I taught Pre-K for 10 years, and 2nd for the past 11 years. This is my 4th year at YES. I look forward to a new school year with fun and adventures as we grow and learn together.
