Genie Faulkner is a life long resident of Louisburg and attended Louisburg Elementary School, Gold Sand Middle School, and graduated from Louisburg High School. She earned a Bachelors of Arts in Physical Education from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, a Master's Degree in Physical Education from North Carolina Central University, and a Master of School Administration from North Carolina State University. She has served the Laurel Mill Community for 28 years as a physical education teacher, assistant principal, and principal. She loves spending time with her family and friends, being at the beach and running. Laurel Mill holds a special place in her heart. She is married and has two sons, Riggan who attends NC State University and John Allen who is a senior at Louisburg High School.
