Ben Snelling Cancer Classic
The Ben Snelling Cancer Classic is an annual community and running event held at V.E. & Lydia H. Owens Recreational Park at Bull Creek. The is scheduled for the 2nd Saturday of October of each year. The Ben Snelling Cancer Classic features a College Team Men's 8K Race, College Women's Team 5K Race, High School Boy's and Girl's Team 5K races, Community 5K Run/Walk, Community 3K Walk Run, Food and Fun for Kids and Adults. Awards are presented. All profits from this event are donated to the Jimmy V. foundation for cancer research. This event is named for Ben Snelling, a cancer survivor and supporter of FHS athletics. The Ben Snelling Cancer Classic is sponsored by Kingdom Community Development Center, Red Ram Running, and Franklin County Parks and Recreation.
The Miracle League
The Miracle League of Franklin County is a baseball league for children and adults with special needs. Would you like to be a buddy to one of our players? Buddy Training is approaching for the Spring Season! Anyone ages 12 and older is eligible to be a buddy! The training will held on Saturday, March 2nd at Long Mill Elementary School at 9:30 am. Community Service Hours are available for your volunteer work.

This is a great opportunity for students to get volunteer hours and help the environment. T. Sanders Memorial Track & Field Invitational
Volunteers are needed for the T. Sanders Memorial Track & Field Invitational. This is an annual event honoring the memory of former FHS Track Coach Trent Sanders. The event is scheduled for the 3rd Saturday in March of each year. The T. Sanders Invitational partners with the Sanders family to provide student scholarships annually.
