Superintendent Search

The Franklin County Schools Board of Education has partnered with the North Carolina School Boards Association (NCSBA) to conduct the search for our next superintendent.

We value the voices of our students, families, and community members in this important process. Please take a few minutes to complete the Community Survey:

Survey Deadline: All surveys must be submitted by Tuesday, September 30, 2025.

The results will be compiled, summarized, and presented by NCSBA at the Franklin County Schools Board of Education meeting on Monday, October 13, 2025.

In addition to survey responses, local groups and organizations are invited to submit written statements regarding the leadership qualities they consider important in the next superintendent. Statements should be sent directly to NCSBA via email at sthorp@ncsba.org no later than September 30, 2025.

📌 Note: This survey is open to students, parents, and community members. A separate survey is being provided to Franklin County Schools staff. Teachers are strongly encouraged not to assign the community survey as homework or extra credit to ensure responses reflect genuine community input.
