"I believe in me, drug free!"
To promote BES school spirit and the important of being drug free, we will be celebrating Red Ribbon Week October 22-26! Each day has a theme and students will be encouraged to dress accordingly!
Monday: Red Day! Wear red to "unite together against drugs!"
Tuesday: Inside Out/Backwards Day! Students will be encouraged to wear their shirts inside out because "drugs turn you inside out" or backwards to "turn our backs on drugs!"
Wednesday: Mismatch Day! Students should wear mismatched clothes, socks and/or shoes because "drugs mix you up!"
Thursday: Career Day! Students will be encouraged to wear clothing related to what they want to be when they grow up.
Friday: Wildcat Pride Day! Students should wear our school colors (green and yellow) to show "We Stant Together Against Drugs!"
Report card pick up/parent conferences - Please plan for this event. Teachers will send home scheduling notices for time slots to meet with them. These conferences are very important so that you can discuss the progress that your child has made this school year. In addition, the PTA meeting is 6:15 p.m. in the gym. Please support the BES PTA.
Educators from across North Carolina give up some their summer to learn how to engage students with technology in the classroom.
