Welcome Dr. Nakia Hardy: Growing Forward Together

Franklin County Schools is proud to welcome Dr. Nakia Hardy as our new Superintendent.

In her introductory message to the school community, Dr. Hardy shares her deep respect for the work already taking place across the district and emphasizes the importance of trust, collaboration, and shared leadership. Her entry theme, Growing Forward Together, reflects a commitment to listening first, learning deeply, and cultivating sustainable progress.

Over the next 90 days, Dr. Hardy will visit schools and engage with staff, students, families, and community partners to better understand:

• What is firmly rooted and thriving

• Where thoughtful pruning is needed

• Where new opportunities for growth exist

This work will remain aligned with Blueprint 2030, the district’s strategic roadmap shaped by community input and focused on long-term success for every student.
