News Release: Sondra Ayscue Named North Central Region Technology Director of the Year

Louisburg, NC– Franklin County Schools is proud to announce that Ms. Sondra Ayscue has been selected as the North Central Region Technology Director of the Year. This distinguished honor qualifies her as a finalist for the 2024-2025 North Carolina Technology Director of the Year award.

In partnership with the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction’s (NCDPI) Office of Digital Teaching and Learning, the North Carolina Educational Technology (NCET) division, the North Carolina Consortium of School Networks (NCCoSN), and the North Carolina Technology in Education Society (NCTIES), this award recognizes Ms. Ayscue’s outstanding leadership and contributions to advancing educational technology in Franklin County Schools and across the state.

With a steadfast commitment to integrating innovative technology solutions in education, Ms. Ayscue has played a critical role in enhancing digital learning environments, ensuring equitable access to technology, and supporting educators in leveraging digital tools to improve student outcomes.

All regional nominees will be honored at the Annual State Technology Directors Meeting, which will take place during NCTIES on March 5, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. This event will celebrate the achievements of technology leaders across North Carolina who are driving progress in digital teaching and learning.
