Scholastic Donates “Book Nook” Reading Space to Early College in Honor of Dr. Schuhler’s Retirement

This week, Franklin County Early College High School celebrated the dedication of a brand-new Scholastic “Book Nook” Reading Space — donated in honor of Superintendent Dr. Rhonda Schuhler’s retirement.

The newly created space features flexible seating, a large area rug, a curated set of 100 books, and a plaque recognizing Dr. Schuhler’s leadership and contributions to public education.

A dedication ceremony was held on Monday, December 1st, with Dr. Emily Lipe representing Scholastic. Franklin County Schools extends its sincere appreciation to Scholastic for this generous gift and for honoring Dr. Schuhler in such a meaningful way. The Book Nook will serve as a welcoming reading space for Early College students and a lasting tribute to Dr. Schuhler’s impact on our district.
