Novozymes Recognizes Bio-Tech Competition Winners at ECHS
Novozymes representatives came to ECHS Friday to present prizes to the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, & 4th place winners for the 2023 Biotech Challenge. The challenge required students to identify unknown substances by performing starch tests on the samples after being incubated with enzymes at optimal performance conditions. Students completed their experiments, analyzed the results, and created a lab report for Mrs. Gupton's Biology class at ECHS. They then created videos to present their work to Novozymes. These creative videos showed each group's process and the results they found while completing their experiment. The videos were submitted during the week of Thanksgiving, and Novozymes representatives served as the panel of judges. Challenge winners can list this achievement on their college applications and enjoy bragging rights. Congratulations to this year's winners!
