News Release: FCS Welcomes Jeffrey Whitt as New Assistant Principal of CCMS

Louisburg, NC– Franklin County Schools is excited to announce Jeffrey Whitt's appointment as the new Assistant Principal of Cedar Creek Middle School. Mr. Whitt, a seasoned educational leader, brings over two decades of expertise and a deep commitment to fostering an enriching learning environment for all students.

While part of the academy organization, Mr. Whitt earned accolades such as NC Gifted Teacher of the Year in 2015 and National Principal of the Year in 2018. He is recognized for his innovative educational practices and ability to enhance student performance. His career in education spans several notable positions, including Principal at Ascend Leadership Academy, where he was responsible for all administrative responsibilities and developed a strong educational and student leadership culture within the school.

Mr. Whitt's diverse background in teaching and administration is a valuable asset for Cedar Creek Middle School. His extensive experience in staff and student leadership oversight, curriculum development, and community involvement are poised to bring significant insights and developments to the school's programs, further enriching the academic and extracurricular offerings.

Mr. Whitt received his administrative degree from High Point University and most recently served as an educator at Leland Middle School. Before that, he was an Assistant Principal at New Hanover High School.
