News Release: Franklin County Schools Welcomes Jacquail Green as New Principal of RES
July 1st, 2025
Louisburg, NC – Franklin County Schools is pleased to announce the appointment of Jacquail Green as the new principal of Royal Elementary School. With over a decade of experience in education and school leadership, Ms. Green brings a deep commitment to academic excellence, student growth, and community engagement.
Ms. Green most recently served as Assistant Principal at E.K. Powe Elementary School in Durham, where she played a pivotal role in implementing school-wide initiatives to enhance student achievement and strengthen school culture. Her leadership included serving as MTSS Facilitator, leading data-driven PLC discussions, and supporting the development of the International Baccalaureate curriculum.
Prior to her role in Durham, she served as Assistant Principal at West Oxford Elementary School, where she helped launch a Dual Language Immersion program and supported numerous school improvement efforts. Ms. Green began her career in education as a classroom teacher. She later served as a principal intern at Pleasant Grove Elementary School, where she developed a strong foundation in instructional leadership and family engagement.
Ms. Green holds a Master of School Administration from North Carolina Central University, a Master of Education in Educational Management from Strayer University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Shaw University.
“I am incredibly honored and excited to join the Royal Elementary School community,” said Green. “Together, we will create a nurturing and high-performing environment where students are inspired to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. I look forward to building strong partnerships with staff, families, and the broader community.”
Superintendent Dr. Rhonda Schuhler expressed her enthusiasm for the new leadership at Royal Elementary, stating, “Ms. Green brings a proven track record of effective leadership and a passion for student success. Her collaborative spirit and experience with innovative instructional strategies will help Royal Elementary continue to grow and flourish.”
