Louisburg, NC — Franklin County Schools is excited to announce the appointment of Jennifer Giandenoto as the new principal of Laurel Mill Elementary School. With over two decades of experience in elementary education and leadership, Mrs. Giandenoto brings a proven track record of success and a deep commitment to student achievement, staff development, and community engagement.
Mrs. Giandenoto’s career is rooted in elementary education, where she has held roles such as Instructional Resource Teacher (IRT), intervention teacher, and fourth-grade teacher. As an IRT at Forest Pines Drive Elementary, she provided instructional leadership to a diverse community of students and teachers while serving as a Testing Coordinator, SIP Chair, Literacy Coach, and Professional Development Coordinator. During her administrative internship, she collaborated with school leaders to plan professional development, conduct student discipline, and coordinate school wide events.
Additionally, Mrs. Giandenoto has extensive experience leading summer school programs, managing everything from scheduling and transportation to hiring and evaluating staff. Her years of experience in classroom teaching and administrative roles demonstrate her dedication to fostering academic excellence and building strong school communities.
Superintendent Dr. Rhonda Schuhler says, “We are thrilled to welcome Mrs. Giandenoto as the principal of Laurel Mill Elementary School. Her extensive experience in elementary education, strong leadership skills, and ability to foster positive relationships will greatly benefit the students, staff, and families of Laurel Mill.”
Mrs. Giandenoto expressed her excitement about the new role, stating, “I am thrilled to join the Laurel Mill Elementary community officially! It is truly an honor to become part of such a vibrant, dedicated, and thriving school. I look forward to growing together.”
Mrs. Giandenoto holds a Master of Arts in School Administration from East Carolina University and a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from the State University of New York at Cortland.
