Mrs. Martin is the Pre-K Teacher at YES! This is her 8th year of Teaching and her 2nd year at YES. For the past 7 years she taught in the Adapted Curriculum Setting; 6 years in Granville County and 1 year in FCS. She is originally from Pennsylvania and attended East Stroudsburg University. She graduated with a dual degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education. She believes in learning through play and hands-on sensory experiences. She works to engage learners using each of their 5 senses to make learning as fun and memorable as possible. She is SO excited to begin the Pre-K journey at YES! 

This is Mrs. Hunsinger's first year at YES and she is super excited to be here! She will be working as the Pre-K Instructional Assistant. The education field has been her passion since starting in 1984. She has worked as a preschool teacher, preschool director. instructional assistant in grades Pre-K through 6th grade, librarian, resource instructional assistant, EC instructional assistant and bus driver. She has been married to her husband for 35 years and they have a beautiful daughter. She loves spending time on her pontoon boat fishing and tubing. She also loves spending time with her daughter doing horsey things at the barn where she teaches riding lessons and where she also has an equine bodywork business. She moved to NC in 2013 from California where she was born and raised. Living here has been a big change but, she loves it all except for the humidity! She loves to collect vintage metal lunchboxes, over sized things, Clydesdale mugs and a certain type of bottles. She also love to play disc golf, cornhole, darts, horse shoes and ladder rope! Looking forward to a great year as a Jr. Jag!!
