Degrees and Certifications:
Being a teacher is very rewarding but being a pre-kindergarten is more than words can explain. Who doesn’t like to play outside in mud or sit on the floor and build a skyscrapers out of blocks? Knowing that I teach young children their foundational skills that they need for school couldn’t be more rewarding and fun. I began teaching the day after I graduated from Meredith College in May 2007. I spent 10 years as a preschool teacher at First Environments Early Learning Center in the RTP area and I’m now currently in the Pre-K program at Long Mill Elementary School. I love working in a county where my husband is also part of the same school system. I love how much Franklin County values family and I am so glad I joined an amazing team of educators. Long Mill welcomed me with open arms and I have felt part of the team since day one. I have two beautiful children that I am looking forward to them being part of Franklin County Schools in the near future. I am excited to invest many more years teaching at LOMES!
