  • What is Title I?

    Improving Academic Achievement for the Disadvantaged

    The purpose of Title I is to ensure that all children have a fair, equal, and significant opportunity to obtain a high-quality education and reach, at a minimum, proficiency on challenging State academic achievement standards and state academic assessments.

    What is Title II? 

    Preparing, Training, and Recruiting High Quality Teachers and Principals

    The purpose of Title II is to increase student academic achievement through strategies such as improving teacher and principal quality and increasing the number of highly qualified teachers in the classroom and highly qualified principals and assistant principals in schools.  


    What is Title III?

    Language Instruction for those with Limited English Proficient (LEP) and Immigrant Students

    The purpose of Title III is to implement language instruction and educational programs designed to help LEP students achieve grade level standards.  


    What is Title IV? 

    Student Support and Academic Enrichment 

    The purpose of Title IV is to:  

    • 1st Purpose:  Providing students with a well-rounded education including the arts, civics, STEM & advanced learning programs
    • 2nd Purpose:  Providing activities to support safe and healthy students
    • 3rd Purpose:  To increase effective use of technology; to improve academic achievement, academic growth, and digital literacy for all staff and students
