      Mrs. Tracy Minchew

My name is Tracy Minchew. I'm happily married with two children. I was born and raised in the small town of Greenfield, TN where I graduated high school in 2002. I attended and graduated from the University of Tennessee at Martin in 2010 with a Bachelor's in Fine Arts with an emphasis in Art Education and started my first teaching job in Lakeland, Florida. My family and I moved to Franklin County in August 2016 for my husband's work. We really enjoy living in North Carolina! This is my fifth year teaching art and I love seeing children's eyes light up when they create something they love. I tell my students that they do not come to Art class to make pretty pictures or learn to paint or draw. They come to art class to learn to fix their mistakes and to learn to think creatively. Art is EVERYWHERE and art is for EVERYONE.
