  • CARES

Franklin CARES is a partnership between Franklin County Schools and our community to support reading development. CARES- Community Advancing Reading in Elementary Schools- is being implemented at select schools (BES, FES, RES) during Spring 2023, with district wide expansion to all elementary schools for the 2023-24 school year.

We are seeking volunteers from our community- our parents, employees from area businesses, and from local churches and non-profit agencies to support our efforts with this initiative.

    What is required?

    • Completion of a basic interest form https://bit.ly/FCS-CARES

    • Completion of our Franklin County Schools volunteer form and approval to volunteer

    • Attendance at one of our 2 hour training sessions. All needed materials will be provided.

    • A commitment to 1 hour minimum per week to read with students in need of additional support and encouragement

    Timeline:
Complete the Franklin CARES interest form by Monday January 30, 2023. Businesses and community organizations can identify one point of contact to manage all paperwork or individuals can apply by completing the form online.
