Vision Statement

Franklin County Schools’ faculty, staff, and parents are responsible for teaching all children knowledge, skills, and values necessary to be productive citizens.

   Goals

Priority 1:  High Student Performance

1. All students reading, writing and doing math at least at grade level, at least by third grade.

2. All high school and middle school students will have access to a variety of courses that engage students’ interests and intellectual abilities.

3. Franklin County Schools will seek out and implement best practices gleaned from our own schools and schools throughout the state and nation.

             

Priority 2:  Quality Teachers, Administrators, and Staff

1.  Recruit and retain a diverse, highly qualified, caring, and effective staff.

2.  Pay teachers and all staff a competitive salary. 

 

Priority 3:  Effective and Efficient Operations

1.   Franklin County Schools will develop and implement a long-range facilities plan that is proactive.  It will be based on the very best student growth projection from county and state agencies.

 

Priority 4:  Healthy Students in a Safe, Orderly and Caring School

1. All schools in Franklin County will be safe and orderly with no tolerance for behavior that interferes with teaching and learning.

2. Franklin County Schools will provide a healthy, safe and orderly environment for its students.
