System Wide Closings, Delays and Early Dismissal Information

In the event of emergencies, inclement weather or natural disasters, Franklin County Schools sometimes must close the system, delay the opening of the system or dismiss early. If no announcement is made, that means schools are operating on the regular schedule.

  
If school is closed, delayed or dismissed early the following plan goes into effect:  
  • The FCS website is updated
  

 
  • All athletic events and extracurricular activities are postponed
  
  • The before and after care program does not operate when school is closed, but during early dismissal periods, it operates until all students have been picked up from campus.
