The Franklin County Board of Education met in regular
session at the

Bernard Hall opened the meeting with prayer.
A motion was made Johnny Alford, seconded by John May, and
duly carried to approve the August 9th, August 23rd and
Mr. Moore presented the 2004-2005 Budget.
A motion was made Randy Wright, seconded by Paige Sayles, and duly carried to approve the 2004-2005 Budget Resolution.
A motion was made by John May, seconded by Randy Wright and duly carried to approve a request from Gideons International to make new testaments available to 6th graders, contingent upon following the guidelines outlined by the administration.
Mr. Hall gave an update on the 2004 Bond Referendum Campaign. Mr. Hall reported that, at this time, $4600 has been raised with an additional $1000 pledged.
A motion was made by Randy Wright, seconded by Paige Sayles, and duly carried to go into closed session for the purpose of G.S.143.318.11.
A motion was made by Johnny Alford, seconded by Randy Wright, and duly carried to return to open session.
