Objectives:
Students will investigate the
following careers:
Teacher
Computer
Technician
Emergency
Room Doctor
Customer
Service Representative
Armed
Forces Service Person
Using Powerpoint,
students will create a presentation to display the findings of their comparative
study in which they collect various aspects of employment for the five
(5) careers. Writing during the conclusion will point students inwardly
to reflect on their perception of one of the careers.
Introduction: Investigate
the following aspects of the four careers listed above:

Process: 1.
Divide the careers among team members. 2.
Print Individual
Data Sheet to record information. 3.
Use resources listed above to gather data. 4.
As a group, compile information into a comparative study of each career
for each aspect on a Group
Data Sheet. 5.
Summarize the data with Powerpoint or web page documents. 6.
Prepare to present to class.
Evaluation: Print
the Evaluation
Rubric for each team member and complete the name and group information
at the top.
Conclusion: Choose
one of the careers listed in this activity and write why you would
or would not choose it as your future career.
