Request for Proposal Bid Specs

The following are details for individual RFPs. Each numbered section should be considered a separate RFP. Furthermore, in the case of sections such as infrastructure that apply to multiple locations, the bidder should provide individual bids for each location. Qualified vendors must be authorized resellers and installers for ALL the components they deliver.

1. Cellular Service

Franklin County Schools is requesting qualified vendors to provide a quote for continued service or provide cellular phone service for approximately 80 cellular phones with the following minimum specifications:

· Coverage to all FCS school locations

· Free roaming within state

· 22800 total shared minutes

· Free incoming calls

· Mobile to mobile

· Voice mail

· Caller ID

· Voice activated dialing

· Speaker phone capability

· Portable handset

Above features should be included in the monthly service charges with no additional charges for use. Contract term should be no more than one year.

2. Cellular Service - Smartphone or Blackberry

Franklin County Schools is requesting qualified vendors to provide a quote for continued service or provide cellular phone service for approximately 10 Smartphone or Blackberry cellular phones with the following minimum specifications:

· Coverage to all FCS school locations

· Voice mail

· Internet Access

· Caller ID

· Enterprise Server compatible

· Speaker phone capability

· Portable handset

· Wireless Internet access service

Above features should be included in the monthly service charges with no additional charges for use. Contract term should be no more than one year.

3. Internet Access

Franklin County Schools is requesting qualified vendors to provide a quote for district wide Internet Access via a central connection at the main data center. The quote should include a 50 Mbps and a 100 Mbps connection speed.

4. Wireless Access Points

Franklin County Schools is requesting qualified vendors to provide a quote on wireless access points for Laurel Mill Elementary School.

· 8 HP ProCurve 530 (or any HP upgrade)

· Secure, dual-radio standalone access point

· POE compatible

· QOS capabilities compatible with Voice over IP

4. Updating of Network Switches

Franklin County Schools is requesting qualified vendors to provide a quote on network switches for Laurel Mill Elementary School. Below is a list of general requirements.

MDF

· 1 HP ProCurve 5412zl-96G Switch or any HP upgrade

· 1 HP ProCurve 5400zl 20 p10/100/100 +4 or any HP upgrade

· Each 4208 switch (or any HP upgrade) should connect directly to the 54xx core switch, or any HP upgrade

· Enough 4208 switch (or any HP upgrade) ports should be provided to make ALL data drops “hot

· Appropriate number of fiber SFPs or GBICs should be provided to complete the fiber connections to each IDF

IDF

· 1 HP ProCurve 4208vl-72gs or any HP upgrade with dual power supplies

· 1 HP ProCurve vl 24p Gig-t Mod or any HP upgrade

· 2 HP ProCurve Gigabit SX-LC or any HP upgrade

· 1 HP ProCurve 5400zl Premium Edge License or any HP upgrade
