Reading First Lesson Plans and Ideas One important aspect of the Reading First program is the guideline that teachers use only lessons included in their chosen reading program for their classroom lessons. However, some students will need Intervention lessons in order to master the concepts taught in class. It may be necessary for a teacher to come up with a variety of approaches in order enable the students to use their particular learning styles and abilities in mastering concepts. This section is intended as a place where teachers in the Reading First program can share ideas, suggestions and lesson plans for Intervention lessons (either original or found online). This section is continually a work in progress. It will be only as helpful as those who visit and contribute, so we encourage teachers to submit material for others to use.
