Second grade students enjoyed reading 'newspapers' created by 4th grade students.   The 4th graders were instructed to read several articles of interest from a current News & Observer.  They then had to understand the article--including many difficult vocabulary words--and summarize the it in terms that a second grader could comprehend.  The Fourth Graders wrote about some current events focusing on Weather, Sports, Our State, and Life.  Some even included creative comic strips and word searches.  Second Graders had the chance to browse these newspapers during a visit to the Media Center.  "This is so fun!" said a student, who read 7 newspapers.  It was a learning experience that was enjoyed by all.
