COIN DRIVE Last year's Classroom Coin Drive was a huge success. Students donated spare change to Relay Coin Cans in each classroom. About $1100 was raised for the American Cancer Society! This year, grade levels will compete against each other to see who can collect the most change. Collection jars will be in the lobby. The team to contribute the largest amount of coins will receive a cupcake party!
ROYAL BASKETBALL GAME-- PARENTS NEEDED TO PLAY! April 24th. RES Gym. Refreshments will be served at 6 p.m. Then the teachers will challenge parents in this year's Parent/Staff Basketball game. Last year, the parents were victorious. Who will reign this year?The Royal Prince and Princess and King and Queen will be crowned at half time. Parents interested in playing should contact Ms. Potts!
Relay Royalty Students nominated one young lady and one gentleman in each kindergarten class and one young lady and gentleman in each 5th grade class to represent them in the Relay For Life collection. The kindergarteners who collect the most donations will be crowned the Royal Princess and Prince, and the fifth graders who collect the most donations will be crowned the Royal Queen and King. All donations are due by noon on April 3rd. Winners will be crowned at half time during the Basketball game!
Ads can be purchased to advertise a business, political candidate, political party, civic group or organization, or may be purchased in Honor or Memory of someone. Ads will be included in a booklet and passed out to attendants at the Relay event. Ads cost $10-$100 depending on the size. Luminaries can be purchased for $10 or 3 for $25. Candles are lit Friday night at the Relay Event to honor those fighting cancer or in remembrance of those who have lost their battle with cancer. Please contact Ms. Potts if interested!
