Freshman Academy Teams

     

Team Approach

In order to facilitate these goals, FHS uses a “team” approach, whereby students who
sharecommon teachers are teamed with two of their common teachers from different
disciplines.  The team teachers then meet at least once a week during the common planning
period to plan lessons, review attendance issues, discuss discipline concerns,
determine potential failures, and plan actions to be taken to avoid failures.

The team teachers work together to contact parents, other teachers who
teach their common students, and administration.  All parties work together
to intervene on behalf of the student.
