MEDIA PROGRAMS:
Students are encouraged to participate in
reading incentive programs such as
Accelerated
Reader and NC
Battle of the Books. A love of literature is nurtured by the presentations
and display of various mediums by students throughout the school year.
ABOUT THE MEDIA CENTER
Bunn Middle
School Media
Center
encourages the students, faculty, and staff to use a variety of resources to
meet academic needs and to provide an avenue for recreational reading. The
intent is to develop skills that will encourage the students to be life-long
learners. Information skills are taught directly to classes and
individuals as needed. Research is taught with a multimedia approach using a
variety of resources such as CD ROM's, laser discs, multimedia
presentations, video and audio cassettes, online resources, books, and
periodicals. With state of
the art technology, the Media Center serves as the hub of Bunn Middle School
.The total school population of 711 students actively participate in the
Accelerated Reader program.

There are 6 search stations
available in the media center with On-line Catalog search as well as Internet
Connection. The adjacent 30 computer lab is opened for class use as
well as independent student use. Network connections and Internet access
are available on all computers at Bunn
Middle School. Our
resources are unlimited!!
